Tim Burton Art

Exciting news for those of us who marvel at Tim Burton art. MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) is having a show featuring his art. These images (from the BBC) are a great link to the retrospective.

The creative genius is astounding and I thought I'd share this great video he made in 1982.

If any of you get to New York for the show, I'd love to hear about it, so please comment if you do.

Meanwhile we can take a look at some of Burton's bittersweet fairy tales, and even a journal:

  • Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories
  • Nightmare Before Christmas
  • Burton on Burton
  • Tim Burton's Tragic Thought Journal

When We Experience a Breakup

Experience a breakup sometime in this lifetime? Did you know that 90% of the time it can be rekindled if you put a wee bit of work into it? The Magic of Making Up is a book I've come across that has a complete strategy for getting an ex back. There are 2 great videos on the link that are worth viewing. In the download there is also a bonus in the form of a Magic Second Chance letter.

Sometimes, when we experience a breakup we think the situation is impossible. The tools in this book give a specific, workable strategy to rekindle the relationship, and it comes with a 60 day money back guarantee. I don't know of any professional relationship folks (doctors, counselors, mental health experts, etc.) that offer that.

Have a superb day, and know that nothing is impossible!

The Priceless Jewel Within

A quote from Rumi says, "Any time you exert yourself by going somewhere, giving money, or taking time to pray, you are saying, There is a priceless jewel inside me."

I'm thinking that jewel could be forgiveness, and wouldn't it be wonderful if we could remember that and pass it on to another? Far to often we ignore that priceless jewel in the heat of an argument, or a major fight/breakup. Then the ensuing hurt and hopelessness leave us paralyzed wondering if we can save a dying relationship.

Obsession sets in and the panic that grips us contributes to the thought that just maybe a time limit to save the ex and makeup will fix the broken relationship. Emotions get testy. So do apologies with ill-perceived, yet well-intentioned conversation (don't text the ex). More barriers come up, and before you can bat an eyelid, the defensive, judgemental, non-intended confusion rears in the conversation.

The conventional wisdom from the Rumi quote gets taken for granted. In the case of break-ups, conventional wisdom is a huge asset, but un-conventional wisdom/methods take precedence. This is because experienced methods to heal broken hearts accesses the solution of the priceless jewel within to forgive ourselves and others.

One great un-conventional teaching method is in this ebook or audio. It gives the hope to the situation and adds a little magic too! It's called, The Magic of Making Up.

Baby Boomers/Senior Adults

Baby Boomers as in Senior Adults often get a bad rap when it comes to keeping hep on the net. More often I see raps about "marketing to seniors," rather than "seniors marketing to." So, I have decided to take action and become a baby boomer marketer. My journey began because I was un-employed, and wanted to answer to myself rather than a boss. Enjoy the trip so far!

Pre-boomer times

I was only 13 when we got our first TV (black & white). Then a man walked on the moon. Our first computer- DOS. Cell phones, CD's, DVD's, HTDV, satelites cluttering space, internet...cyberspace. I wasn't in Kansas anymore. I can give myself a pat on the back for accepting and adjusting to all the "advances" in our culture. Most senior adults as in baby boomers have stayed hep with the times - minus internet marketing.

How Do We Define Ourselves

Baby Boomers at 40, 50, 60?

Various definitions of baby boomers as in senior adults are given for age. According to the ADEA (Age Discrimination in Employment Act), from age 40 on is when a person may not be discriminated against in employment. Some studies show distinctions such as: young-old = 55-74. It really only matters as to how we define ourselves - regardless of those generational media blasts that we are always comparing ourselves to.

Wondering Who I Was

One thing I know is that senior adults as in baby boomers are rich in life experience. It takes a look back to come to the idea of growing old - as abandoning ideals. Personally, I have experienced waking up to find an empty nest, a job working for a business (not my own), a home in deep need of re-model, an ailing spouse, and bills to be paid. Time for me to spend some moments with myself came about, and the exploration began. The inner wings began to flutter, and I found myself wondering who I was, what were my ideals, and where did I want to be.

Living Just Fine

A Challenge

A major challenge appears in my senior moments. How will I stay financially independent in this technological society? Am I too old as a baby boomer as in senior adult to "get" the cyberspace aka internet marketing stuff I read about?
I've read that space on the internet is the most expensive real estate there is. Wow.
I've also read that many boomers are living just fine/well/great/handsomely with the independence they've gained through marketing on the net. More exploring this possibility led me to affiliate marketing. Aha! I began to pursue it.

A Discovery

Affiliate Marketing

I downloaded some e-books offering ways to make an income online. I joined an affiliate program. It was good, but pricey, and only taught one way to market. Let's see, that was beginning in August, 2008. I basically broke even on the money making side, then the economy went poof, and my stats showed zero's. I put that form of marketing on hold. I researched and studied freely online all that I could find out about internet marketing. Aha! I found the very best affiliate program called Wealthy Affiliate. A true community of members who share what they have learned works!

Booming today in cyberspace is a journey to venture into! Baby Boomers can have a piece of the market too, and learn how in the best online university available. No matter where the next frontier in cyberspace takes baby boomers as in senior adults, it is possible to journey with the best.

A University Online for Affiliate Marketers at Wealthy Affiliate

The benefits of membership outweigh any fears of the unknown internet marketing possibilities that I ever had. Major get-over-the-hurdle challenges like building/owning one's own website and all that entails is addressed ever so clearly and easily. An in-depth forum of very supportive members, research tools, and an 8 week training course are just a few of the ways that Wealthy Affiliate offers one to learn the tools of internet marketing successfully. Yes, members can build 3 websites, hosted and all! It is most commonly known as a one stop marketing university, and it truly outweighs anything I ever learned in college.

Join Me

My definition of baby boomers as in adult seniors has taken on a whole new meaning thanks to the independence I am gaining from affiliate marketing learned the right way. A powerful action taking on my part has given my cyberspace trip extra wings. Please feel free to explore and discover at WEALTHY AFFILIATE.
